Fallen Angels

From a timeless time
From the top of the highest mountains
In the mid of softly swaying blue seas
Or thundering dusky oceans
From the embankment of gently rumbling streams
On the edges of the desert
From the depth of the Milky Way

Tired and strained eyes
Floods of tears shed
Scrutinize far away skylines
At dawn and o'er at dusk
Watching, hoping, pleading
Stands svelte and proud
Walks, builds, lulls, loves

Fallen leaves
Sullen souls
Outstretched pleading arms
Screaming torn souls
Winter looms closer

Stormy winters
Frozen bleached lands
Blinding blizzards
Bent over bodies
Wrecked souls
Christmas carols and lights

Summer drought,
Scorching Sun, parched soils
Wounded wombs
Futile farmers’ toils
Hollow puzzled eyes
Gaudy bikinis at the beach

Spring floods snatched dreams
Buried in swooning deltas
Restless nights, dreamless days
Empty morrows
Blooming buds

Holds head high,
Lashed by untamed winter squalls and tempests
Sylphlike bodies dither and stagger transiently
Swirl puppet-like in the depth of the galaxy
Black holes looming
Darkness, fear, loss, infinity, nothingness

Countenance resumed
Walks head held high
Beaming face
Howling soul

Waves spread gently foaming over the sand
Brings not soothing balms
Carries not hopes
Wipes not uncouth lingering hero’s lies
Soothes not my soul

Hollow heart and tears of blood
Weary soul
Walks tall, Ignores all
Wretched smile
Does not fall

Injustice prevails
Emptiness lurks
Wrecked heart bleeds
Holds head high
Smiles weeping
Walks majestically
